Teen nabbed after George man’s death

A 23-year-old man died after sustaining multiple stab wounds, reportedly after he exited the toilet at an establishment.

Detectives in Conville, Western Cape, are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Ronaldo Goeieman (23) at the corner of King and Swan Streets in Parkdene, George, on Saturday.

A 19-year-old man was yesterday arrested in connection with the murder.

“The suspect is facing a charge of murder and will appear in court once charged,” says Southern Cape police spokesperson Sergeant Christopher Spies.

“The preliminary investigation into his death indicates that the man came out of the toilet at an establishment when he was accosted by a group,” adds Spies.

“One of them stabbed the victim with a knife. The victim sustained stab wounds to the chest and back. He was taken to hospital for medical care where he was declared dead on arrival by medical personnel.”
