Load-shedding suspended until Monday afternoon

Eskom has released the latest load-shedding schedule, providing some relief for South Africans.

Load-shedding will be suspended until Monday at 16:00, Eskom announced on Sunday afternoon.

This is thanks to improved generation performance, says Menzi Mngomezulu, Eskom’s crisis communication manager.

The latest schedule is as follows:

  • Suspended: Sunday until Monday at 16:00.
  • Stage 2: Monday 16:00 until Tuesday at 05:00.
  • Suspended: Tuesday 05:00 until Tuesday at 16:00.

Mngomezulu says this pattern will continue daily until further notice.

“Eskom will communicate should any significant changes occur,” says Mngomezulu.
