Man’s body found in Garden Route dam
The circumstances surrounding the death of a man, who was retrieved from a dam, are being investigated.
Police retrieved a man’s body from a dam in Khayalethu, Knysna, yesterday, just after 16:00.
The discovery was made by municipal personnel who noticed the body floating in the water and alerted the police.
In response, a team of police divers was dispatched to the scene to retrieve the body.
“Circumstances surrounding his death are being investigated.
“An autopsy to determine the cause of death will be conducted during the week,” says Southern Cape police spokesperson Sergeant Chris Spies.
The body of the deceased is yet to be identified.
