3 youths arrested for the murder of 2 eMbalenhle teens

An 18-year-old was stabbed to death on December 22 and a 14-year-old was killed on Boxing Day.

The police in eMbalenhle arrested three youths in connection with reported cases of murder committed over the long weekend of December 22 to 27.

The suspects are between the ages of 15 and 23.

The 15-year-old allegedly stabbed his friend (18) on December 22.

The other two suspects were arrested for the murder of a 14-year-old on December 26.

The boy was stabbed in the neck near a tuck shop in Ext 18.

The three arrested youths appeared in the Evander Magistrate’s Court today.

The Mpumalanga police commissioner, Lieutenant-General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela, hailed the arrest of the three suspects and the applauded the officers for work done well.
