Here's a live feed of the proceedings in Pretoria where Cyril Ramaphosa will be sworn in as president of the Republic of South Africa.

Today is a big day in the capital city of Pretoria where the presidential inauguration of President Cyril Ramaphosa takes place at the Union Buildings.

The ceremony will commence with an entertainment programme at 09:00, while the formal proceedings are scheduled for 11:00.

Minister in the Presidency Khumbudzo Ntshavheni, who is also the chairperson of the inter-ministerial committee preparing for the inauguration, previously said the ceremonial elements will include a 21-gun salute, a salute flight by the South African Air Force, inspection of a SANDF battalion, a battalion march past, and massed flypast.

President-elect Ramaphosa will be sworn in by Chief Justice Raymond Zondo and take an oath or affirmation as outlined in Schedule 2 of the Constitution.

The newly sworn-in president will then deliver his inaugural address.
