The eighth executive mayor of Johannesburg will be elected in council today, but who will it be?

Executive Mayor and Al-Jama-ah councillor Kabelo Gwamanda bit the bullet and resigned on Tuesday following calls for his resignation from the ANC, residents, ratepayer associations, religious representatives, and civil society organisations, citing his inability to run the city, which continues to fall apart at an alarming rate.
