Teen allegedly abducted in Western Cape reunited with family
The Mossel Bay Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences unit is investigating a kidnapping case.
A joint operation between various structures ensured that three suspects are heading to court in Mossel Bay on kidnapping charges.
On Tuesday, at about 23:00, the team acted on information received about a 16-year-old girl who was allegedly abducted from a residence in JCC Camp, Da Gamaskop, in Mossel Bay.
According to an article published by Mossel Bay Advertiser, the vehicle, a white Isuzu, which was heading to Cape Town, was flagged on various platforms.
Members attached to the Overberg Flying Squad, Overberg Task Team and Caledon police traced the vehicle along the N2 highway to the entrance to Caledon on Wednesday. They arrested three men and secured the safety of the victim, who was later reunited with her family.

The suspects, aged 30, 38 and 48 remain in police custody. The trio was due to appear in the Mossel Bay Magistrate’s Court today.
Western Cape police management applauded the co-operation of all role-players who ensured the safety of the victim and subsequent arrest of the suspects.
The investigation into this matter continues.
