The man was arrested at the Kinross taxi rank, allegedly on his way to Johannesburg.

A 34-year-old man, accused of murdering his pregnant girlfriend by stabbing her in the chest and hitting her with bricks on her head, was arrested shortly after police discovered her body on Friday.

Sifiso Khumalo appeared before the Evander Magistrate’s Court today (May 26) and the matter was postponed until Wednesday.

The 34-year-old Dibuseng Madela’s body was found in a pool of blood in the couple’s home in Ext 21 known as Marikana, on Friday (May 23).

According to the police, blood spatter was visible on the walls of the dwelling when the police arrived on the scene.
