2 dead in Nquthu wedding shooting

Police in KZN have launched an investigate after gunmen open fire during a traditional ceremony in the Hlathi dam area.

Mystery surrounds the tragic shooting incident at a traditional wedding in the Hlathi dam area in Nquthu yesterday afternoon (September 27), reports Northern Natal News.

KZN police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda confirmed that two men were shot dead and three women injured in the shooting shortly after 4pm.

A chase ensured which led Dundee SAPS and private securit personnel to the R33 on the Vryheid road.

A man was held for questioning near De Jager’s Drift.

Netshinunda said an intensive investigation is underway
