6 stray elephants cause safety scare in Musina

Authorities are mobilising resources to relocate a herd of elephants that were seen near municipal offices in Limpopo.

The public and motorists in Musina, Limpopo have been warned to exercise extreme caution after six stray elephants were spotted near the municipality’s New Traffic Offices, opposite China Mall, reports Polokwane Review.

They were seen on Tuesday evening (October, 6) at 17:50.

Not to be provoked

Community members are warned not to approach or provoke the elephants, as they can be deadly dangerous upon provocation.

Authorities mobilised

The relevant authorities have been informed and are mobilising resources to relocate the animals.

Motorists urged to stay clear

Motorists and residents are advised to stay clear of the area and to follow any instructions from authorities on the ground.
