Warning: Heavy thunderstorms expected for Gauteng
All Gauteng residents have been warned against the potential threat of small amounts of hail and damaging winds
The South African Weather Service has warned all Gauteng residents that there is a weather watch in place for Wednesday 20 November, as conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms, Roodepoort Record reports.
A severe weather watch is an alert calling for people to be prepared for weather hazards that most likely will occur within one to three days and that could lead to disruptive and disastrous conditions.

Thunderstorms are predicted from 3 pm until late afternoon.
The weather watch has been extended to Thursday, 21 November, and residents are warned against heavy wind, rain, and hail.
Watch:20/11/2019 17h00 TO:21/11/2019 05h00 Severe Thunderstorms- are expected in Gauteng from late afternoon today (Wednesday) continuing into tomorrow early morning (Thursday) which can result in heavy downpours and localized flooding as well as strong winds.
