The third installment of the Capital Craft beer festival will be hosted on Saturday, 13 June. Capital Craft beer festival is the premium beer festival for the country’s capital city and will this year be hosting +25 Breweries with over a 100 brews on tap, three live stages and a Let’s Talk Beer stage.

Bringing together old traditions and new experiences, Capital Craft will be at the national heritage site, Voortrekker monument to combine the age-old tradition of drinking beer with new and exciting musical acts and introducing guest to a vast variety of local micro-manufactured brews.

Micro-breweries have fast become the tasty and trendy alternative to commercially brewed beers and the painstaking efforts taken to brew and mature these specialist beers can be tasted with each and every sip.

At the Capital Craft beer festival patrons will be able to sample beers by over 25 different micro brewers from all over the country.

Tickets will be sold at R120 per person online or at the Capital Craft beer academy and at R150 per person at the gates, while the monument also charges as R10 parking fee for the day.

The festival will use a token system for buying beer on the day. Beer prices may vary at different brewers, but 500ml beer will be sold for around R30 and 250ml at about R20.

To speed up the token system this year Capital Craft will be allowing patrons to purchase their tokens in advance.
