The Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon Trail Run returns on Friday, April 10, offering runners a choice between two exhilarating distances – a ±16km and a ±24km.

“We’re proud to celebrate the 13th running of the Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon Trail Run in 2026. After a pandemic-disrupted hiatus, the trail races returned to the bouquet of events in 2025, selling out within minutes and reigniting the enthusiasm of runners across the country.

“Since their debut in 2010, these iconic trail races have captured the imagination of elite athletes and weekend adventurers, offering a rare opportunity to experience the beauty and challenge of Table Mountain’s trails. We can’t wait to welcome participants back for another unforgettable edition in 2026,” says Chris Goldschmidt, chairperson of the Two Oceans Marathon NPC.

Rising Sun reports that, highlighting the significance of the event, Wade Bromfield, the GM of the Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon, says: “We’re excited to confirm the date for the 2026 Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon Trail Run. With routes that showcase breathtaking scenery and true trail running terrain, every runner will face a challenge that’s as achievable as it is exhilarating. Whatever distance you choose, a memorable adventure awaits!”

Trail runners will enjoy the same premium perks as Ultra and Half Marathon entrants, including an exclusive event T-shirt and a limited-edition pair of TTOM-branded Versus Quarter Running Socks, Bromfield says.

With each distance limited to just 500 participants, spots are set to fill fast.

Entries open on Tuesday, January 20.
