Ingredients

For the Chicken Patties

  • 500gms ground chicken
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Assembling the Monster Burger

  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 slices of your favourite cheese
  • Ketchup
  • 16 green olives (pitted)
  • 1 cucumber, sliced
  • Toothpicks

Method

Prepare the Chicken Patties

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix until all the ingredients are well combined.
  3. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into round patties, slightly larger than the hamburger buns.
  4. Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and cook the chicken patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until they are cooked through and have a golden brown crust.
  5. During the last minute of cooking, add a cheese slice to each patty and let it melt.

Assemble the Monster Burger

  1. Toast the hamburger buns until they are lightly browned.
  2. Spread a generous layer of ketchup on the bottom half of each bun.

Creating the Monster Face

  1. Place a chicken patty with melted cheese on top of the ketchup layer on each bun.
  2. To make the monster’s eyes, take two green olives and use toothpicks to attach them to the top of each patty.
  3. Add a slice of cucumber below the olives to create the monster’s nose.
  4. Finally, use ketchup to draw a funny, monstrous mouth on each burger.
  5. Top with the other half of the hamburger bun, and secure the monster features in place with toothpicks if needed.
