South African Film and TV Awards: Here are the winners
The weekend buzzed with excitement as the winners of the 18th South African Film and TV Awards were revealed, celebrating the best of South African talent.
This past weekend, the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand was transformed into an ethereal stage for the 18th annual coveted South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTAs). The illustrious event brought together some of Mzansi’s biggest names to shine a light on the extraordinary talent we witnessed on our screens this past year.
The night was made up of many beautiful moments, from the electric vibes between our favourite celebrities and their daring fashion looks, to the actual awards ceremony that brought everyone together. Our A-listers were also treated to some entertainment and could watch and enjoy, for a change.
Among the many winners was Thembinkosi Mthembu, who scored four nominations, shinning with a deserved win in the Best Actor in a TV Drama category. Unfortunately, he did not win in the other three categories.
