1 killed after car plunges off M13 bridge in Durban

A car that lost control veered off the road, dropping several metres below a bridge.

One person was killed in a single-vehicle crash on the M13 near the Polo Pony off-ramp in the Shongweni area, west of Durban, today.

ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson said the car lost control in the wet weather and veered off the road, dropping several metres below the bridge.

At around 13:00, Jamieson said: “The patients are still entrapped in the wreckage.”
