107 TVs confiscated in Limpopo stolen during Gauteng hijacking – police
Police made the confiscation at Musina China Mall after a man carrying one of the items was unable to provide reasonable answers to them.
A 44-year-old man was released on R10 000 bail after he was arrested for being in possession of suspected stolen property on Monday.
The man was arrested at the Musina China Mall in Limpopo after police discovered 107 Samsung 32-inch TVs in his possession.
Limpopo police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba says the police noticed the man carrying a television and approached him.
“The suspect failed to give reasonable answers after being questioned by police, and the televisions were recovered in a storeroom following preliminary investigations,” he adds.

Malesela confirms the TVs were stolen during a hijacking in Vosloorus, Gauteng, in October 2022.
“The suspect was arrested immediately, and 107 televisions totaling R375 000 were confiscated. Investigations continue,” he says.
