Members of the Hawks, assisted by the Local Criminal Record Centre, Tactical Response Team and Explosives Unit dug in the specified location and found a cache with over 3 000 live rounds of ammunition.”

The ammunition discovered includes 2190 rounds of R5 rifle ammunition and 1075 rounds of  9mm ammunition, Maluleke added.

All ammunition found was seized by authorities for further investigation. He concluded that no arrests were made pending the ongoing investigation.
