AKA, Tibz murders: Ndimande brothers to land at King Shaka International Airport today
The Ndimande brothers are set to land in South Africa and appear in the Durban Magistrate’s Court today.
Two Ndimande brothers, Siyabonga and Malusi, are expected to land at the King Shaka International Airport this morning to face charges in the AKA and Tibz murder case.
The Witness reports that, last week, SAPS confirmed that it received a surrender order from the Eswatini government for the two brothers, who were wanted in connection with the murders of rapper Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes and his friend Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane.
This is after they abandoned their extradition appeal.
According to SAPS, the handover of the Ndimande siblings will take place today following the finalisation of logistical arrangements between the two countries. They are expected to appear in the Durban Magistrate’s Court today.
SAPS national spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe last week said the move marked a significant step towards justice in one of South Africa’s most high-profile murder cases.
SAPS said it remains confident it has a strong case against the pair, who face 24 charges linked to three separate cases. These include conspiracy to commit murder, murder, attempted murder and unlawful possession of automatic firearms and ammunition.
