Alleged hijacked car bursts into flames after Durban accident

Three people were arrested after the car they were travelling in caught fire after hitting another vehicle.

A vehicle, alleged to have been hijacked, burst into flames after ploughing into another vehicle on Himalayas Road in Merebank, Durban, yesterday morning.

ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson says SAPS went to the scene and is investigating the incident.

Three suspects were arrested, he adds.

Two people sustained minor injuries and were treated by ALS Paramedics at the scene.

In separate incidents near Vryheid, seven people were injured in two separate collisions on the R34 Stillwater and Mondlo Road.
