Armed robbers hit Cape Town’s Shamrock Fisheries (video)

CCTV footage has emerged showing four suspects robbing the Shamrock Fisheries in Kraaifontein, Cape Town.

In the video, two of the four robbers are seen casually entering the shop and two others following, with the pretense to be customers.

Robbers then pull out guns, ordering the customers and staff members behind the counter.

A few minutes later, one of the robbers returns with a staff member to the tills, and loads money in a bag.

The robbers are seen making off with an undisclosed amount of money and cell phones.

This incident took place on December 3.

No arrests had been made.

Last month, CCTV footage emerged showing one of two cell phone shop robbers following a robbery at a Cell C cellular shop in Norwood Mall, Johannesburg.

A staff member said the suspect ordered the staff to go to the storeroom and kneel down during the robbery in August. Their hands and feet were then tied with cable.

Another staff member said he managed to reach a knife on the sink. He later cut the cable ties around his wrists and freed the others.

The suspects allegedly made off with R110 000 worth of cell phones.

No arrests had been made.
