ATM bombed in North West

Six suspects were arrested shortly after the incident on Friday morning.

Six suspects were arrested in Tarlton, Krugersdorp on Friday morning for involvement in an ATM bombing in North West.

According to Karen du Plessis, the public relations officer of the Krugersdorp Police Flying Squad, the suspects who were travelling in a taxi were nabbed the same morning as an ATM bombing in the North West province.

Du Plessis said an undisclosed amount of cash was found during the arrest, and police also discovered that at least three of them were illegal foreigners.

“We believe that the suspects were on their way to bomb another ATM somewhere in Krugersdorp,” Du Plessis added.
