Baby (2) reunited with family after hijackers drive off with him

The mother stopped at a filling station in Boksburg, with her child in the back seat, when she was hijacked.

A two-year-old child was found unharmed after hijackers abandoned the vehicle he was in, in Brakpan.

The mother reported that she had just parked her car, a black Audi, in the parking area of the Engen garage in Parkdene, when two gunmen approached her, according to police reports.

They aimed a gun at her before jumping into her car and driving off with her child inside.

The car was later found abandoned in an unspecified location in Holomisa, Brakpan where the child was found unharmed and alone in the vehicle.

The boy was reunited with his family. Police suspect that hijackers fled in a getaway vehicle they were travelling in before they hijacked the woman’s Audi. The incident happened on Saturday.
