Boksburg man stabbed to death at house party

A case of murder is under investigation after a man was repeatedly stabbed to death at a house party in Villa Liza, Boksburg, in Gauteng.

Dawn Park police spokesperson Captain Charles Tshabalala said a fight broke out between two men on Saturday. One of them pulled out a knife and stabbed the other a number of times. The victim died on the scene, Boksburg Advertiser reported.

The suspect was arrested and detained at Dawn Park Police Station. He is expected to appear in court soon.

Last month a man was stabbed to death during a fight at a tavern in the Khayelitsha informal settlement in Butterworth, Eastern Cape.

Captain Jackson Manatha said the suspect fought with the deceased, Masixole Sibango, 23. Both of them had knives. The deceased was stabbed multiple times on his upper body

Manatha added the motive for the murder was still unclear.
