Carl Niehaus case postponed to November

Niehaus vowed to fight what he called ‘trumped-up’ charges.

Appearing in the Estcourt Magistrate’s Court this morning (August 18), suspended African National Congress (ANC) member and Jacob Zuma supporter Carl Niehaus faced charges of contravening the lockdown restrictions.

Mr Niehaus was greeted by a small contingent of supporters outside the court house this morning where he was welcomed and a short prayer was said before he entered the building and went to B court where the matter was heard.

The matter was postponed to November 22.
