Voting at the ANC Limpopo’s 10th elective conference has resulted in Chupu Mathabatha’s re-election as chairperson.

The conference, which is underway at the Ranch Resort, has been described as a “peaceful” conference by the ANC’s acting treasurer Paul Mashatile, who commended the province for hosting a “well handled” conference.

Mathabatha contested against Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure MEC Dr Dickson Masemola for the position of chairperson and won with 781 votes to 389.

The newly elected Top 5 in the province includes:

Chairperson- Chupu Mathabatha

Deputy Chairperson – Florence Radzilani

Secretary – Reuben Madadzhe

Deputy secretary – Basikopo Makamu

Treasurer – Nakedi Sibanda Kekana

Mathabatha committed to discussing service delivery with delegates and said he hopes the commissions which will take place during the conference will thoroughly discuss ways to sort service delivery needs of the province.

He added that the ANC is allergic to corruption and that the party does not want to be associated with it.

“Those individuals found to be corrupt within the ANC will be dealt with accordingly,” he said.
