Court postpones case of man accused of killing 2 cousins in Mamelodi

Police probe continues as post-mortem report is awaited in Pretoria township double murder.

The case of a 38-year-old accused of killing two cousins has been postponed for further investigation.

According to Pretoria Rekord, Tebogo Mnisi (38), accused of killing Baleseng (22) and Tshiamo Moramaga (21), and the attempted murder of a third person, who was hospitalised after a gunshot wound, appeared in the Mamelodi Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.

Case postponed

Senior prosecutor Advocate Anne-Marie Bendeman says the case was postponed to May 20 for further investigations and a post-mortem report.

Bendeman adds that Mnisi is facing five charges: Two charges of premeditated murder, one charge of attempted murder, possession of live ammunition and possession of an unlicensed firearm.

Accused remains in custody

He did not apply for bail and will remain in police custody.

Mnisi was arrested on October 26, 2025, following an incident that occurred in Mamelodi East Ext 17 earlier that day.
