D-Day for DA to accept cabinet positions offer

The DA initially demanded 11 of the 30 national cabinet posts after forming the Government of National Unity.

The DA will this afternoon have to decide to either accept or reject the cabinet positions offered to it by President Cyril Ramaphosa a few days ago.

As part of its participation in the Government of National Unity the DA initially demanded 11 of the 30 national cabinet posts.

However, following talks between the party and the ANC, Ramaphosa last week offered the DA six posts in what ANC insiders claimed was the party’s ‘final’ offer.
