Durban woman killed in brutal stabbing

The woman had sustained a single stab wound to her upper body.

A woman in her 20s was fatally stabbed in Huntley Road in Seaview, Durban.

Rescue Care Paramedics were called to the scene at 12.30pm on Tuesday and found the woman on the roadside, the Highway Mail reports.

According to Rescue Care spokesperson Garrith Jamieson, the woman had sustained a single stab wound to her upper body.

“The woman’s condition deteriorated, and she went into cardiac arrest. Advanced Life Support Paramedics worked for more than 30 minutes and managed to revive the critically injured patient,” said Jamieson.

Jamieson said she was then rushed to a nearby level one trauma unit where a team of specialists were waiting.

Unfortunately, a short while later the woman passed away due to the severity of her injuries.
