E-hailing driver shot and killed in KZN

The police in KZN are investigating a case of murder after an e-hailing driver was shot and killed in his car earlier this week.

An e-hailing driver (39) was murdered in Hambanathi, Tongaat, on Wednesday night.

According to Tongaat police spokesperson Captain Jasanathan Naidoo the victim was shot three times in the upper body.

“The police are investigating a case of murder,” said Naidoo.

Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) reported that the victim’s body was discovered slumped in the driver’s seat of a white VW Polo.

RUSA spokesperson Prem Balram said it was suspected that the man was attacked as he was entering his property.

He was declared dead at the scene.
