EFF barred from Sopa address in Mpumalanga
They tried to enter the precinct of the government complex but failed to get past heavy security.
Mpumalanga Premier David Mabuza will deliver his third State of the Province Address (Sopa) during the fifth provincial legislature at the Government Complex, Building 10, today, Mpumalanga News reports.
Guests are still coming in slowly. Earlier, Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) tried to enter the precinct of the complex but, due to heavy security, failed. They are now marching to the land commission office to deliver a petition.
Road users have reported traffic congestion in the Riverside precinct.
This comes after roads in the area were closed off as officials prepared for Sopa.
