Elderly couple attacked in George
The attack comes four days after a 79-year-old woman was murdered and her husband admitted to hospital with multiple stab wounds in Mossel Bay.

An elderly couple was assaulted and robbed in their home in Ballots Bay Heights, George on Monday evening and three suspects are still on the loose.
According to Southern Cape police spokesperson, Sergeant Chris Spies, three men entered the residence at about 18:45 and overpowered the husband (64) and wife (62) in their living room.
“The wife was forced to the ground by the men while her husband was assaulted using unknown objects. He sustained serious head injuries. The suspects made off with jewellery before they fled the scene,” says Spies.
Both victims were taken to hospital for medical care. No arrests have been made.
Anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the perpetrators is requested to contact the Thembalethu police station on 044 802 8950 or Crime Stop 08600 10111. All information will be treated confidentially.
The attack follows the brutal murder and assault on another elderly couple in Pinnacle Point, Mossel Bay on June 4.
Margaretha Willemse (79) was found deceased in her bedroom. She was sitting in a chair and had a neck-wound. Her 87-year-old husband Johannes was taken to hospital with multiple stab wounds where he is still being treated.
