Eldorado Park man arrested after brother found stabbed to death

Police discovered a victim with multiple stab wounds, while a bloodstained suspect allegedly admitted to the crime at the scene.

An Eldorado Park man has been arrested after allegedly confessing to stabbing his brother to death in Ismail Albertyn Crescent in Eldorado Park, Extension 6, on Monday.

Soweto Urban reports that, according to Eldorado Park SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Fezile Khobo, tracing unit members were conducting routine duties when they received a complaint at around 18:00.

On arrival, officers found a man lying on his back in the yard with visible stab wounds.

A knife was in his right hand, and a blunt aluminium object lay near his feet.

Another man, sitting on a street drainage cover nearby, admitted to the killing.

“The suspect’s hands and clothes were covered in blood,” Khobo says.

The motive for the attack remains unknown.

The 41-year-old suspect was detained at Eldorado Park SAPS and will appear in court soon.
