Explosives found in Hazyview: Notorious former cop expected in court

A murder accused man is expected to appear in court today after he was caught in possession of explosives yesterday.

A disgraced former policeman who faces unrelated rhino poaching and murder charges was again arrested yesterday in Hazyview.

It is reported that the man was caught with explosives commonly used in the commission of cash-in-transit heists.

The operation in which the SAPS’s elite National Intervention Unit pounced on a workshop follows a meticulous investigation by the Hawks.

He spent the night behind bars and is expected to appear in the Calcutta Magistrate’s Court this morning.
