Family devastated by killing

Speaking to the media, family spokesperson Dito Mapandzene said the family was informed of Vilanculo’s death shortly after his lifeless body was found.

“We understand that his girlfriend arrived in the early hours of the morning while he was asleep and demanded money. What followed remains a shocking revelation,” he said.

Dito added that the family is struggling to come to terms with the brutal killing.

“The whole ordeal deeply saddens us. Words can’t begin to describe how we feel as a family. We have lost a good man,” he said.
