Fishermen discover woman’s body in dam near Glencoe

Fishermen discovered a woman’s body in a dam near Glencoe, prompting a police investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.

The body of a woman was discovered in the so-called Police Dam near Glencoe. Fishermen found the woman, who was reportedly wearing only a pair of panties and a shirt. It is believed she had been in the water for over a day, as decomposition had begun to set in.

Northern Natal News reports SAPS has launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death. At this stage, the cause of death has not been determined.

Local police spokesperson Constable Siyabonga Nkwanyana confirms the discovery and states that further details will be provided as the investigation progresses. Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.

The discovery has left the local community in shock, and SAPS is working to piece together the events leading to the woman’s death.
