Four killed in Mossel Bay bloodbath

The first murder occurred on Friday in Calitsdorp Street.

Four people were brutally murdered in separate incidents in Asla park, Mossel Bay over the weekend.

Police spokesperson, WO Kappie Kapp says KwaNonqaba police will work around the clock to bring the murderers to book.

The first murder occurred on Friday February 4 in Calitsdorp Street. Police were called to the scene at around 22:25 and found a 20-year-old man lying in the street. The victim had an open wound to the left side of his chest and was declared dead on the scene.

Only hours later on Saturday morning, February 5 at around 02:20 police were busy doing patrols in Louis Fourie Road when they found the body of a woman at the side of the road.

The victim had an open wound to the left side of her chest and was already dead.

On Sunday February 6 at around 02:20 police were called to Mpela Street where they found the body of a 23-year-old male with multiple stab wounds. Kapp says eye witnesses told police that a group of men attacked the victim.

Two hours later at around 03:40 a 31-year-old male from Asla Park died in the Mossel Bay Provincial Hospital after he was stabbed multiple times.

Kapp says no one has yet been arrested and that anyone with information should contact the investigating officer Warrant Officer Bylsma at 044 606 5633.
