A woman was found with severe burns, a stab wound on her inner left thigh, and bruises on her right thigh.

The charred, half-naked body of an unidentified woman was discovered in an open veld near the R702 in Bloemfontein, this past weekend.

According to police spokesperson Thabo Covane, the victim, who had long brown braids, was found with severe burns from the chest to the face, a T-shirt pulled above her breast, a stab wound on the inner left thigh, and bruises on her right thigh, suggesting a violent struggle and possible dragging.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Lieutenant Colonel Mahlomola Kibinye on 082 526 2722, submit a tip via the MySAPS app, or call the Crime Stop number on 08600 10111.
