Gauteng Covid-19 active cases at 15 396
About 180 new cases recorded.

Gauteng’s overall Covid-19 positive cases climbed to 229 220 with 208 988 recoveries and 4 836 deaths thus far, according to figures published by the Department of Health.
This saw the province having about 15 396 active cases.
Out of a total of 152 231 contacts traced (these are individuals who were in contact with people who tested positive for Covid-19); 134 026 people have completed the 10 days monitoring period with no symptoms reported and therefore they are de-isolated.
The number of hospitalised people due to Covid-19 in the province stood at 1 648.

- Johannesburg: 91 224 cases and 85 700 recoveries
- Ekurhuleni: 51 043 cases and 49 680 recoveries
- Tshwane: 52 107 cases and 49 098 recoveries
- Sedibeng: 15 431 cases and 12 015 recoveries
- West Rand: 14 650 cases and 12 495 recoveries
