Here’s Eskom load-shedding schedule until Sunday

Varied stages of rolling power cuts will be implemented over the next few days, according to the power utility.

Eskom will welcome the new month with a round of stage 5 load-shedding as it battles to meet demand and restore emergency reserves.

Stage 3 power cuts were implemented at 10:00. This will be increased to stage 4 between 16:00 and 20:00, and stage 5 between 20:00 and 05:00 tomorrow.

See the schedule below for the weekend’s load-shedding schedule.

“Unplanned outages have reduced to 13 513MW of generating capacity, while the capacity out of service for planned maintenance is 6 596MW.

“In the past 24 hours, 800MW was returned to service, and approximately 3 700MW of generating capacity is anticipated to return to service by Sunday evening. Eskom teams are working tirelessly to ensure that additional generating units are returned to service as soon as possible,” says spokesperson Daphne Mokwena.
