Hydroponic dagga lab worth more than R1m found near Vereeniging

Five suspects were arrested in the rural town of De Deur after Gauteng police uncovered a dagga laboratory.

The Gauteng police conducted an intelligence-driven operation in De Deur, yesterday (August 27).

The operation resulted in the arrest of five suspects and the discovery of a dagga hydroponic laboratory valued at more than R1m, reports Sedibeng Ster.

Police said that, during the operation, they recovered a .303 rifle and a 9mm Glock pistol.

The operation was conducted by members of Gauteng Counterfeit Intelligence Narcotics, Gauteng Organised Crime, West Rand K9, the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), National Cybercrime and private security.
