Judgement day for man accused of murdering pregnant girlfriend
The man, alleged to be the mastermind behind the murder of Tshegofatso Pule, is set to hear his fate today.
Ntuthuko Shoba is accused of orchestrating the murder of his girlfriend whose body was found hanging from a tree in Roodepoort.
The South Gauteng High Court is expected to deliver judgment today following a lengthy trial against Shoba. He is facing charges of murder, conspiracy to commit murder and obstruction of the administration of justice.
The former JSE analyst pleaded not guilty to all the charges brought against him. He was fingered by convicted killer, Muzikayise Malephane, as being the one who hired him to kill his pregnant girlfriend in June 2020.
Malephane pleaded guilty and turned state witness last year. Several protesters have already started gathering outside the court building in Johannesburg, calling for justice to be served against Shoba.
Almost two years after Tshegofatso was brutally killed, her family is hoping for the best possible outcome as they wait in anticipation for the judgement.
