KZN crime syndicate bust in Newcastle

Two men and two women were nabbed for their involvement in fraud, theft, and house robberies across the province.

A wanted criminal syndicate, operating throughout KZN, has finally been brought to book as the gang was apprehended by Newcastle law enforcement officers.

Imran Ghafoor of the Newcastle Crime Fighters Task Team says the suspects had been committing fraud, theft, and house robberies throughout the province.

The Newcastle Crime Fighters Task Team, with Optimus Prime Services and Newcastle SAPS Detectives, worked closely together to ensure the successful capture and arrest of the group of criminals.

Four suspects, two men and two women, were arrested.

The suspects have been successfully linked to a house robbery case in Howick as well as a case of fraud and house robbery in Newcastle.

If anyone else has been scammed by the four suspects, they are urged to contact Ghafoor on 072 632 300 and provide him with their case numbers.
