KZN woman shot in the head while walking down the street

According to paramedics, the woman succumbed to a gunshot wound to her head, and police are investigating the incident.

A woman believed to be in her early 30s has been shot dead while travelling along Edwin Swales Drive, just before South Coast Road, in Durban, this morning.

Rowan Scandroglio, the spokesperson for ALS Paramedics Medical Services, says paramedics quickly assessed the woman, who had sustained a gunshot wound to her head.

“However, she showed no signs of life and was declared deceased on the scene.  At this stage, the events leading up to the incident are unknown,” he explains.

“Brighton Beach police were on the scene and will be investigating further.”
