Limpopo learner’s body found on school premises with stab wounds
A Gr 12 learner reportedly sneaked out of a study camp and when it was noted he was missing from the group, a search commenced.

Police in Limpopo are on the hunt for those responsible for killing Phillimon Mkomo.
Mokomo, who hails from Tshamahansi village in the Mahwelereng policing area, was supposed to be at Ben Hlogwane Secondary School over the weekend to engage in study sessions in preparation for his final exams.
The 20-year-old Gr 12 learner reportedly sneaked out of the study camp and broke away from the group of learners on Saturday.
Once the guardians at the camp realised he was gone they went searching for him, but without any luck. His body, with several stab wounds, was eventually found on the school premises the next day.
“Initial investigation on the scene indicates a possibility that the learner could have been stabbed elsewhere and [then he tried to] retreat back to school [where he] collapsed behind one of the blocks on the premises,” Colonel Malesela Ledwaba confirmed in a statement.
Limpopo police commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe condemned the incident and appealed to any person with information to come forward and assist the police to track down Mkomo’s killers.
Anyone with information may contact the investigating officer, Sergeant Munzhedzi Patrick Bebeda, on 083 721 8652, their nearest police station on 08600 10111 or use the MySAPSApp.
