Limpopo police are investigating a murder case after a 33-year-old man was found shot and killed in his home in Mageva Village on Christmas Eve.

Police spokesperson Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba says authorities were on the scene at around 20:00, where they found the man with a gunshot wound.

“The emergency medical services personnel also responded to the scene and pronounced the man dead. Preliminary investigation indicated the deceased was in the company of a certain woman whose identity is not yet known,” explains Mashaba.

The circumstances that led to the man’s death are being investigated by police, he adds. The victim has been identified as Jackie Zitha.

Police urge anyone with information about the female or the murder to contact Colonel Jan Mbhalathi on 082 565 6491 or the Crime Stop number on 08600 10111. Alternatively, contact your nearest police station or use the MySAPS app.
