Twelve people are declared dead and many injured after a Scania Bus overturned along the N1-25 about 15km outside of Mookgophong at 06:30 this morning (Monday), confirms Matomi Moremi-Taueatsoala, spokesperson for the Department of Transport, Polokwane Review reports.
Preliminary reports show that the bus overturned due to a burst tyre. The bus was conveying passengers from Zambia to Gauteng.
“Twelve passengers were declared dead and forty-one sustained injuries- two critical, nine serious and thirty minor.
