Load-shedding reduction on the cards for the weekend
Some good news this Friday is that South Africa is in for a slightly less dark weekend.

Eskom says it will lower the stage of power cuts from tomorrow morning.
Stage 4 load-shedding is currently in effect and will remain so until 05:00 tomorrow when it will be lowered to stage 3.
The power utility says stage 3 power cuts will be implemented until 05:00 on Sunday. Thereafter, it will be lowered once more – to stage 1 – until 16:00.
Load-shedding will then be heightened again, to stage 3, from 16:00 on Sunday until 05:00 on Monday. Stage 4 load-shedding will then again come into effect.
Eskom says 16 469MW of generating capacity is unavailable due to breakdowns, with a further 4 652MW unavailable due to planned maintenance.
