Load-shedding to be implemented tonight

Power cuts will be implemented from 20:00 until 05:00 tomorrow with a load-shedding update expected tomorrow afternoon.

As the sun sets on Human Rights Day, South Africans can prepare for the return of stage 3 power cuts from 20:00 tonight.

Eskom spokesperson Daphne Mokwena said load-shedding is needed to replenish low dam levels at pumped storage power stations.

Stage 3 load-shedding will be implemented from 20:00 until 05:00 tomorrow whereafter it will be suspended from 05:00 until 16:00.

Mokwena said an update about the load-shedding outlook for the weekend will be given tomorrow afternoon.
