Louw to get chance as Boks go full strength for Pumas

It is reported that the Springboks will field a strongest possible matchday-23 against the Pumas next weekend.

Elrigh Louw is set for a recall when the Springboks clash with Argentina in Buenos Aires in the Rugby Championship on Saturday.

The Springboks are currently in second place on the Rugby Championship log, tied on nine points with Argentina and Australia, while the table-topping All Blacks are just one point ahead.

According to Sunday newspaper Rapport, the Bok coaches, who initially planned to used the Buenos Aires Test to experiment with a few combinations, have changed plans and will field a strongest possible matchday-23 against the Pumas.

However, there could still be an opportunity for Louw, who made his Test debut in the home series against Wales, but has not played a minute of Test rugby since.

Louw would reportedly replace veteran No 8 Duane Vermeulen on the bench if he is included, as the Bok coaches would also like to shore up their depth at lock, a position they believe Louw can also cover.
